RDB Minerals is part of the TOP GEO group and helps organise and carry out field geological exploration in Kazakhstan. Its services include geological mapping, exploration trenches and test pits, sampling, core logging and drilling support.

The work focuses on clear geological documentation, consistent recording of observations and delivery of results in the agreed format.

Geological mapping

Traverse observations and mapping at scales of 1:5,000 and 1:10,000. Lithology, contacts, alteration and mineralisation descriptions, structural measurements, GPS/GNSS positioning and digital field records.

Trenches and test pits

Organising exploration excavations to the technical brief and site conditions. Layer-by-layer wall logging, interval referencing, structural observations and photographic records.

Sampling

Channel and geochemical sampling, sample preparation and collection. Recording sample locations and preparing sample registers for subsequent processing.

Core logging

Lithological and structural logging, identification of mineralised intervals and alteration zones, fracture assessment, RQD and core recovery. Marking, cutting, sampling and sample identification.

Drilling support

Geological control and processing of geophysical logging and borehole inclination data within an exploration project.

Data processing and reporting

Geological databases, maps, sections and consolidated results. QGIS/ArcGIS, Excel, digital field records, electronic core logs and photographic catalogues.
